Top 10 Favorite Moments in Cabo

Although there were far too many to choose from, here are some of my favorites experiences on our recent anniversary trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico!

1. Drinking Mexican coffee while a local mariachi band danced around us at Tropicana Inn Bar & Grill.

2. Falling asleep listening to the ocean waves in my cabana bed after filling up on the best quesadillas at Cabo Azul Resort.

3. Dining with the rich and famous (we know Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters was there + more) at Agua Restaurant at One&Only Palmilla Resort.

4. Listening to a local band while sipping on Sangria at La Osteria in San Jose del Cabo.

5. Walking through the San Jose Del Cabo town square viewing the local artists beautiful work at the weekly Thursday night Art Walk.

6. Sunset walks on the beach.

7. Drinking Mojitos while soaking in the sun on the beautiful Cabo beach and enjoying the party atmosphere at Mango Deck.

8. Taking a water taxi and swimming in the crystal clear (and cold) ocean at the exclusive Lover’s Beach.

9. Partying and people watching at the famous Squid Roe.

10. Sipping wine while watching the sun fade into the ocean horizon on the Tropicat Jazz & Wine Sunset Cruise.

But don’t take it from me, you should definitely go and make your own memories. Cabo will ALWAYS be an unforgettable trip!

Fitness Competition Recap

Winning my two medals!

I DID IT!! My experience competing in a Fitness Competition (Bikini Class) was such a surreal feeling to finally be on the stage after months of preparing  for the NPC Formulation1 Classic! I feel so blessed to have experienced this and to have done so well for my first show. I placed 1st in Novice and 3rd in Open in my height class- making my NATIONALLY QUALIFIED!  I feel like I could write a book on my journey, but I will spare you the lengthy details and hit the highlights!
What I did: Got on stage in front of hundreds of people (thousands via the internet) in a tiny bikini to flaunt my physique!! (SCARY!)
Why I did it: Challenge myself physically and mentally. To get in the best shape of my life. To look and feel fabulous! I wanted to be more than just thin, but to be strong and have more muscle, because I like the way it looks.

I also wanted to inspire people. The past several years, when I needed fitness motivation, I would follow people on Instagram whose bodies I admired. Not beat myself up for not looking like them, but simply to follow their journey and realize that they were not necessarily gifted with a fabulous body naturally but had to work hard for it. Although I don’t expect everyone who reads this to compete in a show, I hope that my fitness journey can inspire someone else to work towards and reach their goals.

What it took: EVERYTHING I HAD!! AND MORE! This journey has been one of the hardest things I have ever done in my life! Not just physically, but mentally! The little amount of food I took in and the enormous amount time spent doing cardio towards the end, was exhausting in every way. Read More

Let’s Blog!

“Having Fun All Wrong” is based on a song by one of our Favorite Texas Country artists – Roger Creager. This song is referring to him trying to get over a woman by doing fun things to take his mind off of her. Although we aren’t insinuating that we have problems to take our mind off of, sometimes we get caught up in life’s busyness and stress. We simply have to take time to just detach from the everything, live in the moment and enjoy the little things in life!
This blog is simply about our journey and explorations in life in case anyone else wants to join us! Things we plan to post about:2
